Position Overview:
As an Electrical Project Specialist, you will collaborate with design teams and technical draftsmen to create and evaluate engineering schematics, including layouts, elevation drawings, equipment connection specifics, grounding strategies, conduit designs, control building configurations, and foundational layouts, while also compiling material inventories.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive studies and calculations to effectively design substations, including grounding assessments, lightning protection evaluations, battery bank sizing, conduit fill analysis, and overall substation sizing, alongside performing AC & DC substation assessments.
- Work in partnership with various internal teams focusing on civil/structural, protection and controls, and automation disciplines.
- Provide valuable insights to Project Managers and the Business Unit Leader regarding potential enhancements in processes and designs related to engineering and technology.
- Adhere to quality control systems and verification processes for all assigned projects.
- Assist in the proposal preparation for the business unit by estimating engineering hours as a lead in engineering disciplines.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients.
- Conduct regular site visits, walkthroughs, and participate in estimating and scoping meetings.
- Foster a collaborative environment within the Business Unit (BU) and across other BUs.
- Perform additional job-related tasks as required.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Proficiency in electrical modeling and simulation software such as ETAP, SKM, or EasyPower.
- Relevant experience in refining, chemical, petrochemical, power generation, or manufacturing sectors.
- A minimum of 5 years of professional experience.
- A collaborative mindset towards problem-solving.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to establish rapport with clients and team members.
- Development of industry contacts and understanding of the field.
- High standards of business and personal integrity.
- Professional Engineer registration is preferred but not mandatory.
