Wireless Fraud Prevention Specialist

Department Overview
Within the Customer Experience Operations (CXO), the Field Operations team serves as the primary liaison between the company and our customers. Our focus is on resolving customer concerns, preventing future issues, and promoting our services through attentive voice and chat interactions.
Key Responsibilities
The Wireless Fraud Prevention Specialist is essential in detecting, managing, and preventing fraudulent activities associated with new activations and customer upgrades. Key responsibilities include:
- Real-time monitoring and management of orders and account details to ensure integrity.
- Engaging with potential customers through inbound and outbound calls to assess:
- Validity of purchases
- Legitimacy of customer identity
- Nature and extent of suspected fraud
- Conducting off-phone research and documentation:
- Monitoring customer accounts and transactions for suspicious activities or patterns
- Maintaining detailed records of fraud incidents, investigations, and outcomes
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A High School diploma, GED, or equivalent call center experience
- A minimum of 2 years in a call center environment, preferably in fraud detection or risk management
- Strong analytical skills to identify patterns and anomalies indicative of fraudulent activity
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or G-suite applications
- Attention to detail and excellent interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs
- A willingness to work varied schedules, with additional pay for weekends, evenings, and holidays
- A proactive approach to learning and problem-solving
- The ability to collaborate effectively within a team and across departments
