Department Overview:
Within the Customer Experience Operations (CXO) sector, the Field Operations team serves as the primary liaison between the company and our customers, dedicated to resolving issues, preventing future complications, and promoting our services through attentive voice and chat interactions.
Key Responsibilities:
The Wireless Fraud Prevention Specialist is essential in detecting, managing, and averting fraudulent activities linked to new activations, customer upgrades, and additional line requests.
Responsibilities include:
- Engaging with potential customers through inbound and outbound calls, utilizing analytical tools and probing questions to assess:
- Legitimacy of purchases
- Verification of customer identity
- Extent of suspected fraudulent activity
- Applicable offers for customers
- Conducting off-call research, reviews, and documentation:
- Monitoring customer accounts and transactions for suspicious activities or trends
- Maintaining comprehensive records of fraud incidents, investigations, and outcomes
Qualifications:
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience in a call center environment
- At least 2 years of experience in a call center, preferably in fraud detection or risk management
- Strong analytical skills to identify patterns and anomalies indicative of fraudulent behavior
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or G-suite applications
- On-site position; candidates must reside within a reasonable commuting distance
- Detail-oriented with excellent interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs
- Willingness to work varied schedules, with a pay differential for weekends, evenings, and holidays
- Proactive learner with a curiosity for exploring new solutions
- Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate across departments
- Capable of formulating problem statements based on customer interactions and proposing potential solutions
