Position Overview:

The Cost Analyst will play a crucial role in our organization by collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure financial accuracy and compliance within our operations.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a liaison between the legal, accounting, and project cost control departments.
  • Oversee the e-billing process within the Legal Tracker system, ensuring accurate expense coding and data integrity.
  • Manage the workflow of legal invoices, including documentation, approvals, and vendor payments.
  • Conduct thorough research to resolve billing discrepancies and monitor for errors.
  • Perform regular budget analysis, identifying trends and discrepancies while forecasting future expenditures.
  • Prepare detailed reports and present findings to management regarding cost metrics and budget performance.
  • Assist in the annual audit and quarterly reviews, ensuring all financial records are accurate and up to date.
  • Handle vendor communications and inquiries related to invoices and payments.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field, along with a minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting environment, particularly in accounts payable and billing.


Skills and Competencies:
  • Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel, with strong analytical skills.
  • Experience with ERP or accounting software; familiarity with Legal Tracker is advantageous.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Working Conditions:

This position typically operates in a standard office environment with occasional travel required. Candidates should be prepared for prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
