As a key member of our Compliance and Risk Management department, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective risk management strategies to ensure the credit union's operations are secure and compliant with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement risk management policies and procedures to mitigate operational, third-party, and business continuity risks.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and monitoring to identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations to management.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement risk-aware culture and training programs.
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices, emerging trends, and regulatory changes related to operational and third-party risk.
- Partner with internal auditors and external examiners to assist with internal audits and regulatory examinations.
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience in risk management, internal audit, IT risk, compliance, business continuity, third-party risk, or operational risk at a financial institution.
- Relevant industry-specific certifications are preferred.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and travel throughout the company footprint as needed.
- A competitive salary range of $47,000 to $59,899.60.
