Job Summary
The Rutland Regional Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and facilitating the procurement of capital budget equipment and projects, medical/surgical & general supplies, service contracts, and non-stock purchases for our assigned departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services.
- Conduct competitive bidding and negotiation with suppliers to secure the best possible prices.
- Manage supplier relationships and ensure compliance with local, state, and Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) laws.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize procurement needs.
- Develop and maintain procurement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field.
- Four years of prior experience in purchasing, coupled with working knowledge of supply chain management principles.
- Proven experience with supplier negotiations, selection, management, and financial analysis.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and Internet Explorer.
- Strong knowledge of Value Analysis process.
- Working knowledge of healthcare supplies and equipment desirable.
Annual Salary Range
$45,000 - $71,000.00
