Job Summary

Aerotek is seeking a skilled Helicopter Powertrain Technician to join our team in Aurora, Oregon. As a key member of our Component division, you will be responsible for overhauling helicopter powertrain components, including transmissions and rotors, in a bench repair and testing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Disassemble, troubleshoot, repair, reassemble, test, and certify systems and related units for heavy-lift helicopters.
  • Read and interpret maintenance manuals, clean and inspect drive & rotor components and parts for damage and wear using visual examination and special tooling and equipment.
  • Replace or repair damaged or worn drive & rotor parts using general hand tools, special tools, pneumatic tools, and precision measuring equipment.
  • Reassemble, test, and document inspection findings and work performed/corrective action in maintenance records.
Requirements
  • Helicopter Mechanic experience, with a focus on servicing and repair of helicopter rotor heads and/or transmissions.
  • Military or commercial powertrain maintenance and/or component maintenance training.
