Housekeeping Department Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team at Ocean Casino Resort. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Housekeeping Department, ensuring that all guest rooms and public areas are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the work of Housekeeping staff, including guest room attendants, heavy porters, and specialty crews.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness and maintenance standards of all associate and public areas in the Hotel tower.
- Assist in the hiring and staffing of the Housekeeping Department.
- Coordinate and support the training and development of Housekeeping staff.
- Ensure the safety of team members in handling and storage of chemicals used in their tasks.
- Exercise financial responsibility in monitoring payroll expense.
- Continually check that team members have all necessary supplies, equipment, and tools to execute their tasks.
- Accountable for ensuring that necessary equipment, machinery, guestroom supplies, and linen are readily available to enable the Department to function efficiently.
- Fully utilize and monitor all operating systems to ensure proper accountability of all employees, supplies, and procedures.
- Coordinate efforts with other Departments to ensure guestroom, public areas, and storage areas remain fully functional.
- Properly handle guest or maintenance requests and follow up to guarantee completion to Ocean Casino Resort standards.
Requirements:
- Strong supervisory skills and experience in a hospitality environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent GED preferred.
- Minimum of five years' experience in a supervisory role in a hospitality setting.
