Position Summary

A Transportation Design Engineer at VS Engineering, Inc. will take the lead on design responsibilities for various transportation initiatives. Established to enhance our operations in Ohio, the Cincinnati office is strategically located to foster collaboration with key partners and academic institutions, creating a vibrant and engaging work atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the creation of planning documents, engineering schematics, detailed reports, specifications, and construction cost assessments for a diverse range of transportation projects.
  • Engage with clients, regulatory bodies, and permitting organizations to ensure project compliance.
  • Build and maintain relationships with existing and prospective clients to expand our transportation project portfolio in Ohio.
  • Contribute to the development of project proposals, change orders, and client communications related to specific assignments.
  • Generate transportation designs that adhere to the latest industry standards.
  • Conduct research and prepare preliminary assessments and feasibility studies.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering or a related field from an ABET-accredited institution.
  • Professional Engineering (PE) license is preferred.
  • 4-8 years of relevant experience in public sector projects is desirable.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe or Bluebeam, and AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation.
