Job Title: Certified Sterile Processing Tech

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Sterile Processing Tech to join our team at Rose Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality patient care.

Job Summary:

The Certified Sterile Processing Tech will be responsible for the decontamination, processing, sterilization, and distribution of instruments, trays, and supplies to the Operating Room and other Patient Care Departments in the hospital. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Decontaminate and process soiled instruments, utensils, and equipment
  • Assemble and prepare instruments and equipment for daily surgical procedures
  • Manage and maintain surgical instruments and trays, ensuring they are in good working condition and properly stored
  • Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure instruments and supplies are available and in good working condition
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
Requirements:
  • Current Central Service Technician certification with IAHCSMM or CBSPD
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1 year of experience in multi-specialty OR instrumentation preferred
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and write English, including medical terminology
  • Ability to operate washer sterilizer, ultrasonic washer, heat sealer, nitrogen tank, air hose, Steris Vpro or Sterrad, and steam autoclave equipment
