Job Summary:

As a Restaurant Operations Manager at Hard Rock International, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our cafes, ensuring that all brand standards and core values are upheld, and meeting or exceeding business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Management: Demonstrate a deep understanding of the cafe budget and P&L, making informed decisions to drive financial growth and profitability.
  • Team Development: Serve as a mentor and coach to develop hourly staff members into Hard Rock brand ambassadors and industry-leading customer service stewards.
  • Labor Scheduling: Manage labor schedules in line with the cafe's budget and forecast models, ensuring optimal staffing levels and minimizing waste.
  • Department Management: Successfully run a department and/or cost center, driving efficiency and productivity.
  • Collaboration: Partner across all departments to support the team in consistent execution of all systems and processes, delivering all products and services to Hard Rock's brand standards.
  • Leadership: Support senior management in building a highly functional hourly team who share a common vision and values surrounding the overall success of the Cafe.
  • Retail Sales: Execute established brand standards within the Rock Shop, identifying opportunities to grow retail sales through staff and guest interaction.
  • Customer Service: Foster an environment of customer service where all team members put the guest first in every situation, ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction.
  • Guest Expectations: Execute established standards for overall guest satisfaction, meeting or exceeding brand standards as determined by objective ranking systems.
  • Guest Engagement: Engage with guests regarding music, both current and past, enhancing the overall Hard Rock experience.
  • Talent Acquisition and Retention: Support senior management in attracting and retaining the most exceptionally talented people available in the market, placing them in positions that leverage their skills and expertise for maximum impact.
  • Performance Management: Clearly define goals and expectations for team members using performance review tools, holding them accountable for successful performance.
  • Staff Development: Support staff development and advancement along well-defined career paths, driving continuous improvement and employee retention.
  • Learning and Development: Serve as a Learning Coach, developing, implementing, and executing learning & developmental programs for all individuals under your stewardship.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 3+ years in an Operations Managerial role with high-volume exposure in a casual-themed, full-service restaurant.
  • Skills: Ability to learn and bring 'out of the box' ideas to the team, genuine enthusiasm and aptitude for serving people, excellent verbal and written communication skills, high level of business acumen and common sense, strong problem-solving skills, and the potential and aspiration to serve as a Hard Rock General Manager.
