Job Title: Retail Supervisor

At Margaritaville Restaurants, we're seeking a highly motivated and experienced Retail Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our retail operations, you will be responsible for maintaining a high level of guest satisfaction while ensuring the efficient day-to-day operation of our retail venue.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the retail floor to ensure a high-quality customer experience.
  • Ensure that all products meet specifications and are of the highest quality.
  • Conduct daily shift meetings to discuss sales, inventory, and customer feedback.
  • Train new staff members on retail operations and procedures.
  • Assist in motivating, developing, and coaching staff to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Monitor inventory levels and recommend new inventory to management.
  • Report any staff issues to management promptly.
  • Assist with opening and closing responsibilities, including receiving merchandise deliveries and stocking the sales floor.
  • Ensure inventory controls are followed to minimize shrinkage and swelling.
  • Maintain a high level of knowledge about our products and company happenings, and communicate effectively with guests.
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of retail experience, with supervisory or management experience preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to interact professionally with other departments and outside contacts.
  • Ability to complete a heavy workload and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Good judgment and decision-making abilities.
  • Basic computer skills, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
  • Must be able to spend 90% of working time standing, walking, and reaching, and 10% of working time sitting.
  • Must be able to push, pull, and lift objects from a lower to higher position or move objects horizontally.
  • Must be able to maintain body equilibrium to prevent falling while walking, standing, or crouching.
  • Must be able to communicate clearly with guests in the primary language of the restaurant, which is primarily English.
Work Environment:
  • Exposed to weather conditions and prevalent temperature changes.
  • Subject to moderate to high ambient noise levels.
  • Frequently required to function in narrow aisles or passageways.
  • Hazards include, but are not limited to, cuts from broken glass and metal cans, burns, slipping, and tripping.
Language Skills:
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and guests.
Mathematical Skills:
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
