Position Overview

Domino's Pizza is seeking motivated individuals to step into the role of Shift Managers.

In this position, you will be entrusted with the responsibility of either opening or closing our stores, ensuring optimal operations throughout your shift.

This role serves as an entry point into our Management Program. It is a demanding position that requires natural leadership qualities. Essential skills include sound judgment, numerical proficiency, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

You will oversee all activities during your shift, which encompasses cost management, inventory oversight, cash handling, and customer relations. Setting a positive example is crucial, and adherence to all policies and procedures is expected from both you and your team.

Additional Responsibilities:

Documentation, Food Management, Scheduling, Maintaining Store Image and Standards, Excellent Customer Service, Attendance and Punctuality, Transportation to/from Work, Store Cleanliness, Marketing, and Profitability.

You will also handle incoming phone orders, manage sensitive customer information responsibly, process credit transactions, and deliver exceptional customer service through positive interactions, whether in person or over the phone.

Collaboration is key; you will work alongside your team to ensure timely shifts, support various workstations, and complete all closing duties, including cleaning tasks at the end of your shift.

Contributing to a team-oriented, energetic, and enjoyable atmosphere is essential. You will operate all necessary equipment and maintain cleanliness in the workplace. Other tasks include preparing quality products, managing ingredient preparation, and processing orders.

  • Proficiency in basic arithmetic (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division) is required, and the ability to make accurate monetary change is essential. You must possess verbal, written, and telephone communication skills to effectively take and process orders.

Opportunities for advancement include moving from Shift Manager to Assistant Manager, then to General Manager, and potentially to Franchise Owner or Corporate Operations Manager.

General Duties for All Store Team Members

  • Operate all equipment.
  • Stock ingredients from delivery areas to storage and work areas.
  • Prepare products.
  • Receive and process telephone orders.
  • Conduct inventory and complete related paperwork.
  • Maintain cleanliness of equipment and facilities on a daily basis.

Training

On-the-job orientation and training will be provided.

Communication Skills

  • Ability to comprehend and provide accurate written instructions.
  • Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders both over the phone and in person.

Essential Functions/Skills

  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly (calculator use permitted).
  • Must be able to make correct monetary change.
  • Strong verbal, written, and telephone skills for order processing. Coordination between eyes and hands/fingers is essential for precise movements.
  • Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touchscreen.
  • Navigation skills to read maps and locate addresses within the delivery area.
  • Ability to memorize recipes and portion sizes or follow detailed job aids.

Physical Requirements, including, but not limited to the following:

Standing

Most tasks are performed while standing. Walking surfaces include ceramic tile and linoleum in some food processing areas. Work surfaces range from 36" to 48" in height.

Walking

  • Short distances for brief durations.
  • Delivery personnel must travel between the store and delivery vehicle and from the vehicle to the customer's location.

Lifting

  • Bulk product deliveries occur twice a week or more, unloaded by team members using hand trucks.
  • Deliveries may include cases of ingredients and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Cases are typically lifted from the floor and stacked onto shelves up to 72" high.

Driving Specific Job Duties

  • Deliver pizzas within a designated area, making several deliveries per shift.
  • Transport products by vehicle and deliver them to the customer's door.

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license with a safe driving record meeting company standards.
  • Access to an insured vehicle for delivery purposes.
