Job SummaryAs our Nutrition Assistant Lead, you will oversee the daily operations of Nutrition Assistants and nutrition support, ensuring operational efficiency and regulatory compliance.
You will take pride in providing exceptional service to patients, families, visitors, and staff, helping to promote their health and healing.
You will ensure that the team follows industry standards, regulations, guidelines, and procedures for food service operations, including monitoring and maintaining food temperatures during cooking, holding, and storage processes.
You will collaborate with facility staff to ensure optimal nutritional care in all healthcare food service operations, demonstrating excellent customer service and a commitment to excellence.
Responsibilities- Exhibit in-depth knowledge of food preparation and production.
- Train new and existing employees to follow departmental policies and procedures.
- Oversee food preparation and service to ensure adherence to menu and dietary requirements.
- Assist team members in applying organizational procedures and protocols to reduce errors related to dietary guidelines.
- Assess training progress and provide constructive feedback for improved performance.
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Four (4) years of food service experience, including two (2) years hospital nutrition experience.
- A Food Handlers Permit is required, as outlined below:
