Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiovascular Technologist to join our team at Ochsner Health. As a key member of our cardiovascular team, you will be responsible for operating cardiovascular equipment, monitoring patient vitals, and assisting physicians during procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in patient setup and preparation for procedures, ensuring a safe and efficient experience.
  • Operate monitoring and recording devices, as well as other cath lab equipment, to obtain necessary medical data and ensure patient safety.
  • Conduct hemodynamic monitoring of patients during procedures and report values to physicians.
  • Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, and patients for procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Document procedures and interventions in the procedure log to ensure accurate billing and charge capture.
Requirements
  • Associate degree in health sciences or related field.
  • 1 year of experience as an allied health professional.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) within 6 months of hire.
  • Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in radiologic sciences.
  • 2 years of experience as an allied health professional.
