Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cardiovascular Invasive Technologist to join our team at Surgery Care Affiliates. As a key member of our cardiac cath lab team, you will be responsible for ensuring safe and effective procedures are carried out in the delivery of cardiac services to patients.

Responsibilities
  • Under general supervision, you will scrub and assist the physician with cardiac, vascular, and IR procedures.
  • Ensure patient needs are met in accordance with instructions of physician and facility's policies & procedures.
  • Communicate with courtesy when interacting with patients, physicians, facility staff, vendors, and the public.
  • Perform the role of CVL scrub by anticipating the needs of the physician and keeping the circulating nurse informed of any needs throughout a procedure.
  • Combine the knowledge of human anatomy, cardiovascular procedures, and implementation of tools and technologies to facilitate the physician's performance of invasive therapeutic and diagnostic procedures.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an AMA-approved school of Radiological technology or a certified RCIS program, AS or BS degree preferred.
  • ARRT or RCIS Certification required.
  • Current BLS and ACLS required.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of cardiac cath lab experience.
Working Knowledge

Able to perform at a proficient level all radiology procedures related to the cardiac cath lab. Able to scrub and monitor to assist and perform all other tasks as needed to perform all cases in cath lab procedures including pacemaker, vascular, cardiac, and pain management procedures.

Technical/Motor Skills

Ability to manipulate various types of electronic, radiographic, and clinical equipment. Calibrate and troubleshoot various types of cath lab and computer equipment. Ability to operate specialty equipment in the facility and to perform tasks at a 'user' level.
