Job Summary

As a Cardiac Ultrasound Technologist at LCMC Health, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to patients. Your expertise in vascular and echocardiography will enable you to perform a wide range of procedures, from echocardiograms to transesophageal echocardiography.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for testing, performs diagnostic procedures, and provides data/results to cardiologists with minimal supervision.
• Performs echocardiograms, including fetal echocardiograms, and assists healthcare practitioners with transesophageal, epicardial, and intracardiac echocardiographic studies.
• Recognizes congenital heart defects and performs quantitative measurements from M-Mode, 2D, and Doppler studies.
• Maintains quality control and preventative maintenance of diagnostic equipment, adhering to manufacturer's recommendations.
• Participates in quality improvement activities, educational presentations, and precepting new staff members.

Requirements

• Registered through American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) as a medical sonographer or cardiac sonographer.
• American Heart Association, Basic Life Support Health Care Provider certification.
