Job Summary

This position is responsible for designing and supporting electrical control and automation products at Steffes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and experience with PLC programming.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical design assistance and support to customers for oilfield controls and automation systems.
  • Analyze customer requirements and formulate product design, specifications, and tolerances.
  • Research raw materials and components to be incorporated into products.
  • Conduct UL and ETL evaluation and verification of components and product design.
  • Program PLC controllers to meet customer needs.
  • Travel to existing and potential clients as needed.
  • Solve customer issues and provide high-value-added solutions.
Requirements
  • Associate in Applied Science or Electronics Degree.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in PLC programming, mechanics, wiring, electronics, and general knowledge of control devices.
  • Technical understanding in product development.
  • Ability to produce and interpret product designs for manufacturing and assembly.
Working Conditions

This position requires walking, sitting, or standing to a significant degree. Must have the ability to lift 70 pounds from floor to waist, carry 50 pounds, and push and/or pull up to 100 pounds.
