Responsibilities:
  • Service and maintain Lufkin Automation equipment under the direct supervision of the Field Services leader.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical/electronic equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Perform on-site installation of electrical/electronic equipment, conduit, and other systems.
  • Use various electronic equipment and tools, including auto cranes and stud guns, to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Recognize and assess well-optimization issues, either independently or in collaboration with other technical specialists.
  • Work effectively with other business entities to achieve common goals.
  • Be willing to work overtime, weekends, and holidays when required, and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Work in a hands-on environment, lifting up to 75 pounds, and be prepared to work in extreme weather conditions for extended periods.
  • Hold a valid driver's license and maintain an acceptable driving record, as this position may require operating a Lufkin-owned or leased vehicle for company business.
  • Be willing to submit to a check of your driving record and pass a DOT physical, as well as work in a shop environment with a minimum of 8 hours of standing and sitting per day.
Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Three years of electrical experience in the oil and gas industry.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Licensed Electrician (Journeyman or Master Electrical License).
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently.
  • Basic computer skills, including experience with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage inventory.
  • Experience working with variable speed drives, automation, and instrumentation.
  • Meet and maintain customer service standards and quality.
  • Always follow HSE procedures.
