JOB SUMMARY

The Service Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations within the service department, ensuring compliance with company policies and maintaining high standards of safety and quality.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Enforce adherence to company policies and procedures consistently.
  • Engage daily with Service Mechanics to discuss daily objectives and address safety concerns.
  • Continuously assess the efficiency of processes and resource utilization.
  • Supervise employee performance, including training, evaluations, and fostering positive employee relations.
  • Guarantee that safety, quality, and efficiency are prioritized in all tasks.
  • Manage incoming service requests and work orders, assigning tasks appropriately and verifying job completion.
  • Monitor and assess the performance of shop personnel, assisting in performance evaluations.
  • Schedule work hours and manage time-off requests to ensure adequate staffing.
  • Review and approve daily timecards for Service Mechanics.
  • Support management with administrative responsibilities.
  • Conduct quotes and initiate shop repairs as necessary.
  • Adhere to all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, employing safe work practices.
  • Perform additional job-related tasks as assigned.
FACILITY-SPECIFIC DUTIES
  • Prioritize tasks to meet customer delivery schedules.
  • Update job statuses on the job board regularly.
  • Provide quotes to customers as required.
  • Open repair jobs in the tracking system.
  • Complete requisitions for necessary supplies and equipment.
  • Handle service transactions both over the phone and in person.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in equipment repair is essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Must pass a drug screening and background check.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting as well as independently.
  • Commitment to complying with all safety regulations and procedures.
  • Flexibility to adapt and learn various job functions.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable working in a factory setting with significant temperature variations.
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, push, pull, and perform repetitive movements for up to 12 hours daily.
