Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Specialist to join our team at GeoNorth Information Systems. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our buildings and equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on buildings, equipment, and systems to ensure optimal performance and extend lifespan.
- Conduct thorough inspections of facilities to identify potential issues and develop plans for maintenance and repairs.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of maintenance activities with other business operations.
- Develop and implement effective maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
- Manage and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inventory, and equipment maintenance.
- Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders, including responding to maintenance requests and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in maintenance and repair, and apply this knowledge to improve our facilities and operations.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in maintenance and repair, preferably in a commercial or industrial setting.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or degree in a related field (e.g. HVAC, electrical, plumbing) preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with ability to troubleshoot complex issues and develop effective solutions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work at heights, as required.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
