POSITION TITLE
Job Role: Facility Maintenance Specialist
Department: Maintenance
This is a full-time role requiring 40 hours of work per week.
General Responsibilities:
Conduct maintenance operations at the facility under the guidance of the Maintenance Team Leader.
Key Duties:
- Oversee machine upkeep, general maintenance, and both mechanical and electrical tasks within the facility.
- Encourage safety protocols and maintain cleanliness standards.
- Document all maintenance activities accurately.
- Ensure the completion of all maintenance work orders.
- Assist with the installation and repair of new machinery and equipment.
- Respond to emergencies and plant shutdowns to deliver essential maintenance services.
- Support the calibration of facility equipment.
Essential Skills:
- Proficient in maintenance of electronic, mechanical, or electromechanical devices in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read, write, and understand instructions in English.
- Exhibit a positive attitude and work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Capable of interpreting specifications, blueprints, manuals, and schematic diagrams.
- Experience with PLC or Drive systems is preferred.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Certification in Electrical/Mechanical/HVAC and relevant manufacturing experience is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Lean Sigma methodologies is a plus.
Reporting Structure:
Reports directly to the Maintenance Team Lead.
Work Environment:
Physical requirements include bending, stooping, and lifting up to 55 pounds regularly. Standing and walking for extended periods (10+ hours) is necessary. The role involves exposure to noise, elevated temperatures, and industrial machinery. Compliance with safety equipment requirements is mandatory.
