Duration – 12+ Months (Extendable)
Compensation: $66.50/hr on W2
Essential Qualifications:
This role requires a seasoned Bio-conjugation Research Scientist. We are looking for candidates with a minimum of 8 years of relevant industry experience, holding a BS/MS or a PhD.
Key Requirements: Proficient in the conjugation, purification, and characterization of antibody-drug conjugates. Familiarity with analytical methodologies and instrumentation is crucial, including chromatographic techniques such as Hydrophobic Interaction Chromatography (HIC), Reverse Phase (RP), Size Exclusion Chromatography (SEC), SDS-PAGE, and UV-Vis spectroscopy.
Educational Background:
• A minimum of a B.S./M.S./PhD in chemistry, biochemistry, or a related discipline, complemented by industrial or academic experience.
Skills and Experience Needed:
• Extensive hands-on experience in conjugation, purification, and characterization of antibody-drug conjugates, along with proficiency in analytical techniques and instrumentation.
• Preferred skills include experience with biologics analytics and purification methodologies.
• Mandatory: Background in bio-conjugation, protein biochemistry, and chemistry.
• Personal Attributes: A collaborative team player who adheres to timelines and communicates effectively.
Note: This is an onsite, laboratory-based position with potential for extension.
Key Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will join a dynamic team within the Discovery Chemistry Department.
• Engage in multidisciplinary collaboration to innovate novel therapeutics by applying optimized conjugation protocols, analytical techniques, and data interpretation to synthesize drug candidates and intermediates.
• Candidates must possess strong interpersonal, collaborative, and communication skills within a team-oriented environment.
• The role requires a quick learner who can adapt through on-the-job training to enhance skills in reaction setup, route design, and optimization.
Specific Duties Include:
• Conduct bioconjugation of linker-payload combinations to antibodies, focusing on established in-house methodologies.
• Select and implement suitable purification techniques for biologics, including SEC, hydrophobic interaction chromatography, and ion exchange chromatography.
• Acquire and analyze analytical data, such as LC/MS.
