Electrical Assistant Job Overview
We are looking for an Electrical Assistant to aid our Electrical Services team in the installation, upkeep, and repair of electrical systems. This role is perfect for those eager to cultivate their skills within the electrical field.

The Electrical Assistant will collaborate closely with seasoned electricians to guarantee that all tasks are executed safely, effectively, and in accordance with the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities of the Electrical Assistant

  • Support electricians in the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems, which includes wiring, conduits, outlets, and fixtures.
  • Organize and prepare tools, materials, and equipment for job sites, ensuring readiness for efficient project execution.
  • Assist in the layout and installation of electrical wiring and components in compliance with specifications and codes.
  • Perform basic electrical tasks, such as running wire, drilling holes, and pulling cable, under the guidance of a licensed electrician.
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures, utilizing personal protective equipment (PPE) as necessary.
  • Help troubleshoot electrical issues and conduct routine inspections to identify potential problems.
  • Assist the Electrical Services team with documentation, including recording work performed and materials utilized.
  • Engage in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance technical skills and knowledge of electrical systems.

Position Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED; an Associate degree in technology from an accredited technical college or equivalent military training is preferred.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including overtime, evenings, weekends, holidays, and night shifts as needed.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States without requiring employer-sponsored visa support.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with medium voltage splicing and terminations.
  • Familiarity with the installation of switchgear and transformers.
  • Over 5 years of experience in commercial and industrial electrical projects.
  • More than 5 years of hands-on experience using industrial electrical testing equipment.
  • OSHA 10, OSHA 30, and NFPA 70-E training certifications.
  • Possession of a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
