Electrical Technician Support Summary

We are looking for an Electrical Assistant to join our Electrical Services division, providing essential support in the setup, upkeep, and troubleshooting of electrical systems. This entry-level role is perfect for those eager to enhance their expertise in the electrical field. The Electrical Assistant will collaborate closely with seasoned electricians to guarantee that all assignments are executed safely, effectively, and in accordance with industry standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist electricians with the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems, including wiring, conduits, outlets, and fixtures.
  • Organize and prepare tools, materials, and equipment for job sites, ensuring readiness for efficient project execution.
  • Support the layout and installation of electrical wiring and components, adhering to specifications and regulations.
  • Perform basic electrical tasks, such as running wire, drilling holes, and pulling cable, under the guidance of a licensed electrician.
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures, utilizing personal protective equipment (PPE) as necessary.
  • Assist in diagnosing electrical issues and conducting routine inspections to identify potential problems.
  • Help the Electrical Services team with documentation, including recording work performed and materials utilized.
  • Engage in ongoing training and development opportunities to improve technical skills and knowledge of electrical systems.

Position Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED; an Associate degree in technology from an accredited technical college or relevant military experience/training is preferred.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including overtime, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Eligibility to work in the US without the need for employer-sponsored VISA (work permit).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with medium voltage splicing and terminations.
  • Familiarity with the installation of switchgear and transformers.
  • Over 5 years of experience in commercial and industrial electrical projects.
  • More than 5 years of hands-on experience using industrial electrical testing equipment.
  • OSHA 10, OSHA 30, NFPA 70-E training.
  • Possession of a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
