Job Title: Distribution Operations Specialist Associate

Join General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) as a Distribution Operations Specialist Associate and contribute to the success of our clients in the defense and intelligence community.

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to support our Distribution Operations team. As a Distribution Operations Specialist Associate, you will be responsible for managing property book requirements, developing and testing procedures, and training internal and external customers on procedures and software applications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage property book requirements and develop procedures to support DoD Enterprise infrastructure and information structure IT goals and projects.
  • Train internal and external customers on procedures and software applications.
  • Negotiate supplier agreements and service contracts as required.
  • Perform duties and responsibilities as the lead on process improvement teams.
  • Coordinate workflow and material movement to meet program and customer delivery requirements.
  • Maintain the organization's IT Systems hardware and software asset inventory in the Government's prescribed Configuration Management Databases (CMDB).
  • Employ the CMDB in accordance with the organization's configuration and asset inventory management business processes.
  • Document, manage, and maintain the organization's IT System hardware baseline.
  • Manage and maintain a complete software configuration library for the organization's IT System.
  • Manage and maintain other configuration documentation identified by the CMB and communicated through the TTM.
  • Provide the TTM weekly documentation confirming the reconciliation of applicable warehouse, procurement, logistics, and asset management activities.
  • Manage and oversee the transportation of classified and unclassified intelligence IT equipment and materials.
Requirements:
  • Education: Associate's Degree with 2 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree with 1 year of experience.
  • Required Skillset: GCSS (Global Combat Support System) knowledge/experience, Security Clearance Level: TS/SCI, DoD M IAT Level II Computing Environment (CE) Certification.
  • Location: On Customer Site.
  • US Citizenship: Required.
