Job Title: Civil Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer to join our team at PacifiCorp. As a Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing engineering solutions for our hydroelectric projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop engineering studies, plans, specifications, calculations, evaluations, design documents, and performance assessments associated with the planning, design, licensing, construction, operation, and maintenance of our hydroelectric projects.
  • Perform field inspections on assigned hydroelectric projects to ensure adherence to engineering standards.
  • Communicate technical information to regulatory agencies, including the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.
  • Manage heavy civil capital improvement projects, including design, development, and implementation.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field from an accredited college/university.
  • Basic knowledge and application of principles in area of engineering specialty.
  • Ability to interact favorably with project and work teams.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills involving the ability to work cross-functionally to understand requirements, present alternatives, and recommendations.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Registration as a professional engineer.
  • Engineering experience specific to industrial hydropower systems.
