As we work to weave diversity, equity, and inclusion into our work and foster a sense of belonging throughout the company and within our communities, we constantly ask ourselves: What is our impact on the world?

We are a global employee-owned company that provides a wide range of services, including engineering, architecture, and environmental consulting. Our team is dedicated to making a positive impact on the world, and we are looking for talented individuals to join us in this mission.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Marketing Coordinator to support our Northern California Transportation practice. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting pursuit teams in developing persuasive proposal and interview materials, monitoring client and industry websites for solicitation status, and helping to file proposal and presentation material upon submittal.

You will also be responsible for supporting the management of client relationship management and financial systems to inform reporting metrics and dashboards, maintaining accurate project and resume data in business development systems, and arranging for professional photography on projects.

Additionally, you will support the development of annual and long-term strategic plans within established company direction and goals, including creating growth initiatives and prioritizing strategic investments. You will also support the implementation of key growth initiatives and investments as defined in annual and long-term strategic plans.

Other responsibilities include supporting the development and implementation of client plans, including long-term strategies to capture market share, as assigned, and supporting the solicitation of formal client feedback. You will also administer the implementation of the go/no-go decision process in accordance with HDR's Matrix of Authority.

You will also support content marketing campaigns to strengthen our brand, increase our visibility, and showcase our thought leaders, as well as support the development and publication of engaging digital content that reflects HDR's brand and elevates our thought leadership.

Other responsibilities include implementing social media campaigns, supporting the implementation of strategies that elevate HDR's brand and technical talent with industry associations, and supporting the creation of marketing collateral to support business development efforts.

You will also support fulfilling conference sponsorship benefits, as needed, and support the development of engaging internal communications content (announcements, presentations, videos, webinars). Additionally, you will support the planning of large, internal meetings (in-person or virtual) and coordinate large, internal meetings (in-person and virtual).

Maintaining an inventory of branded materials used for client visits, conferences, and recruiting is also a key responsibility in this role.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need the ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment with strong attention to detail, excellent prioritization and time management skills, and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.

You will also need the ability to follow through on assigned tasks with limited supervision and a strong spirit of teamwork and outstanding collaborative interpersonal skills.

Preferred qualifications include an Associate Degree in Marketing, Business Communications, or a related field, as well as 2+ years of document layout and production experience. Previous experience in the A/E industry is strongly desired, as is a strong understanding of the proposal production process for professional services.

You will also need to have strong graphics skills and an advanced working familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, primarily InDesign and Photoshop. Writing ability, strong organization skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks are also essential.

A quick self-starter, team-oriented, and able to work with different personalities and professional styles are also key requirements for this role. Highly articulate, with a clear and analytical approach to problem-solving, and good decision-making abilities are also necessary.

What We Offer

As an employee-owner of HDR, you will have the opportunity to work with a talented and dedicated team of professionals who are passionate about making a positive impact on the world.

We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development. Our employee-owners are also eligible to participate in our employee stock ownership plan (ESOP), which provides a sense of ownership and investment in the company's success.

We are committed to creating an inclusive environment where each of our employee-owners feels valued, respected, and empowered to bring their authentic selves to work every day. Our eight Employee Network Groups (Asian Pacific, Black, Hispanic/Latino(a), LGBTQ+, People with Disabilities, Veterans, Women, Young Professionals) help create a sense of belonging and foster a supportive environment where everyone is empowered to engage and contribute.
