Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Office Engineer to join our team at H&H, a leading full-service infrastructure engineering firm. With over 137 years of experience, we have established ourselves as a trusted partner for intricate and innovative engineering solutions.

As an Office Engineer, you will play a critical role in managing the entire life cycle of a project, from study and planning to design and construction. You will work closely with our clients, including infrastructure owners, contractors, and colleagues, to deliver high-quality engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed plans for assigned tasks, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Perform engineering design and analysis calculations to support detailed plans, utilizing industry-standard software.
  • Conduct quality calculations (quality take-offs) for construction documents, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Review and verify coordination of design and quality calculations of plan details, ensuring seamless project execution.
  • Review shop drawings and respond to Requests for Information, maintaining effective communication with project stakeholders.
  • Assist with bridge inspections or other on-site tasks, as required.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the Project Manager, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Zero to three years of experience in structural engineering, with a strong foundation in industry-standard software.
  • EIT certification (desired), demonstrating a commitment to professional development.
  • Proficiency in MicroStation and/or AutoCAD, with experience in engineering design and analysis.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with project stakeholders.
