Responsibilities:
* Diagnose and repair problems with engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, and similar systems
* Test systems and components to ensure they are secure and functioning properly
* Drive vehicles for testing purposes or use diagnostic computers to identify issues
* Maintain efficiency and accuracy in diagnosing and repairing vehicles
* Follow a checklist to ensure thorough examination of critical vehicle parts
* Inspect and repair or replace parts such as hoses, belts, plugs, fuel systems, brakes, and other potential trouble spots
* Use power tools and machine tools to repair and rebuild brakes
* Write vehicle damage repair estimates
