Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed plans and specifications for assigned tasks, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Perform engineering design and analysis calculations to support detailed plans, utilizing industry-standard software and tools.
  • Conduct quality calculations and take-offs for construction documents, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Review and verify the coordination of design and quality calculations, ensuring seamless integration of plan details.
  • Review and respond to shop drawings and Requests for Information, ensuring timely and accurate communication with stakeholders.
  • Assist with bridge inspections and other on-site tasks, as assigned by the Project Manager.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the Project Manager, ensuring flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced engineering environment.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Zero to three years of experience in structural engineering, with a strong foundation in engineering principles and practices.
  • EIT certification (Engineer-in-Training) or equivalent, with a strong commitment to professional development.
  • Proficiency in MicroStation and/or AutoCAD, with experience in engineering design and analysis software.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex engineering concepts to stakeholders.
