Patient Service Coordinator

Job Summary
The Patient Service Coordinator is a vital member of the Surgery Partners team, responsible for ensuring seamless patient experiences from registration to billing. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately capture and post charges, as well as collect and process payments from patients.
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and obtain pre-authorizations as needed.
- Register patients in the system, ensuring all demographic and insurance information is up-to-date and accurate.
- Schedule surgical cases and communicate with provider offices to ensure smooth operations.
- Collect and revise patient insurance information, as well as collect co-pays and deductibles at the time of service.
- Post approved adjustments to patient accounts and balance receipts.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree a plus.
- Minimum two years of front office experience in a medical environment.
