About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse II to join our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) team at Houston Methodist. As a Registered Nurse II, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to critically ill neonates, utilizing your expertise in neonatal nursing to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans, promoting a culture of safety and quality.
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and advancements in neonatal care.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of unit-based initiatives, promoting excellence in patient care and satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing or higher from an accredited institution.
  • At least 12 months of experience as a Registered Nurse in a healthcare environment.
  • Current Texas RN license or temporary TX RN license, with permanent licensure obtained within 90 days. Compact license acceptable according to current Board of Nursing requirements.
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Other credentials and certifications as defined by the unit/service line.
