Job Overview

We are seeking a meticulous and analytical individual to fill the role of Estate Planning Legal Advisor at Beckett Law, LLC. This full-time position requires exceptional negotiation and organizational skills. In this capacity, you will be responsible for drafting wills, trusts, and powers of attorney for clients and their families, while also providing guidance on insurance matters and legal documentation.

Compensation:

$95,000 - $120,000 annually

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and organize client files to ensure accuracy and up-to-date information.
  • Educate clients on retirement options, charitable donations, and insurance plans.
  • Engage in discussions with clients regarding the distribution of their assets.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys and paralegals to navigate the civil litigation process effectively.
  • Prepare and file essential legal documents such as wills, trusts, and powers of attorney.
  • Manage a reasonable caseload, starting with approximately 50 cases, with the potential to increase based on case complexity and work-life balance.
  • Assist clients in achieving their objectives, with the autonomy to explore the best strategies to meet their needs.
  • Participate in court proceedings, primarily on uncontested matters, while being prepared to litigate when necessary.
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis on various legal issues.
  • Draft compelling motions, pleadings, and briefs.
  • Work closely with the Senior Attorney and lead paralegals, ensuring clear communication and organization in each case.
Qualifications:
  • Excellent communication skills, especially in high-pressure and emotional situations.
  • A Bachelor's degree with a legal background and a J.D. degree are mandatory.
  • Active membership and involvement with the American Bar Association (ABA).
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in estate planning and probate law.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of real estate topics, including title insurance, wills and trusts, property management, and litigation.
  • Ability to articulate thoughts clearly and persuasively, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrate empathy and build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Exhibit the highest standards of integrity, professionalism, and ethical behavior.
  • Effectively manage time to advance matters promptly without compromising quality and attention to detail.
