Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with all company safety protocols and regulations, maintaining a safe and sanitary workplace in accordance with company standards and legal requirements. Facilitate safety training and ensure employees are aware of their rights under OSHA. Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Oversee the maintenance operations at the facility to ensure seamless functionality and cleanliness of equipment and surroundings.
- Plan, organize, and supervise maintenance activities, ensuring timely completion of tasks while adhering to established procedures and accurate reporting.
- Ensure proper documentation of Maintenance Work Order Forms and adherence to routing procedures.
- Allocate maintenance personnel effectively to guarantee uninterrupted facility operations.
- Collaborate with Facilities Engineering and Plant Production management to ensure timely maintenance completion, focusing on preventive maintenance initiatives.
- Develop and refine preventive maintenance protocols for all equipment, regularly assessing their effectiveness and making necessary adjustments.
- Conduct regular inspections to evaluate the performance of the maintenance team, ensuring high-quality work standards.
- Provide recommendations to management regarding equipment repairs, modifications, or replacements based on operational history and maintenance staffing levels.
- Maintain an optimal inventory of maintenance supplies to support uninterrupted facility operations.
- Equip the maintenance team with the necessary tools, manuals, and procedures for efficient operation.
- Engage in the Quality Improvement Process, facilitating employee training and promoting a culture of safety.
- Prepare detailed monthly reports on maintenance activities and expenditures.
- Develop an annual budget projection for the Maintenance Department.
- Ensure all areas under supervision are maintained in a safe, clean, and organized manner.
- Keep accurate records of overtime and staffing levels.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Engineering or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years of management experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Thorough understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and Kaizen methodologies.
- Familiarity with financial reporting and relevant concepts.
- Strong background in materials management and MRP systems.
- Knowledge of applicable regulations, including OSHA, EPA, and ADA.
