About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CDL Class A Transport Driver to join our team at CHEP. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for executing full and multiple-stop truckload deliveries and collections daily, utilizing Class A equipment (Tractor/Trailer).

Key Responsibilities
  • Route Optimization: Develop and maintain efficient delivery and collection routes to ensure timely and cost-effective transportation of goods.
  • Customer Relationships: Build and maintain positive relationships with local customers, service centers, and repair shops to drive efficiencies and increase collection volume.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all equipment is safe and legally operated, including scheduling preventive maintenance and repairs, passing inspections, and timely damage reporting.
  • Delivery and Collection: Execute deliveries and collections at pre-determined locations, maintaining responsibility for all equipment's safe and legal operation.
  • Program Compliance: Ensure program compliance, which drives efficiencies and increases collection volume.
Requirements
  • Class A DOT Driver License: Possess a valid Class A DOT driver's license.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of tractor-trailer driving experience.
  • Clean Driving Record: Maintain a clean driving record.
  • DOT Medical Card: Obtain and maintain a DOT medical card with no restrictions.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift 65 lbs. on an as needed basis.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Routing Management Apps/Software: Familiarity with routing management apps/software.
  • Customer Service Programs: Experience with customer service programs.
  • Basic Microsoft Office: Proficiency in basic Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Teams).
