Transportation Supervisor

RJ Schinner Co., Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Company Driver Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our logistics department, you will be responsible for managing CDL drivers, overseeing routes, and ensuring compliance with DOT FMCSA regulations.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct driver training and road tests to ensure new employees meet company standards.
- Manage driver performance, partnering with management and HR to provide coaching and corrective action.
- Act as a liaison between drivers and transportation coordinators to resolve route issues.
- Collaborate with transportation to ensure route coverage, including temporary drivers, carriers, and equipment maintenance.
- Perform monthly pre-trip inspection audits to ensure equipment meets FMCSA and company standards.
- Support safety initiatives, including driver onboarding, drug testing, and qualification documents.
- Maintain working knowledge of systems such as GEOTAB, Samsara, Descartes, and JJ Keller Encompass.
- 3-5 years of driver management experience.
- 3-5 years of heavy-equipment delivery operation experience.
- Working knowledge of DOT rules and regulations.
- Effective verbal and written communication practices.
- Masterful problem-solving skills.
