Company Driver Supervisor Role

RJ Schinner Co., Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Company Driver Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our logistics department, you will be responsible for managing CDL drivers, overseeing routes, and ensuring compliance with DOT FMCSA regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct driver training and road tests to ensure new employees meet company standards.
  • Manage driver performance, partnering with management and HR to provide coaching and corrective action.
  • Act as a liaison between drivers and transportation coordinators to resolve route issues.
  • Collaborate with transportation to ensure route coverage, including temporary drivers, carriers, and equipment maintenance.
  • Perform monthly pre-trip inspection audits to ensure equipment meets FMCSA and company standards.
  • Support safety initiatives, including driver onboarding, drug testing, and qualification documents.
  • Stay up-to-date with systems such as GEOTAB, Samsara, Descartes, and JJ Keller Encompass.
  • Correct driver Hours of Service (HOS) issues in GEOTAB.
  • Collect and submit accident and injury paperwork, ensuring established processes are followed.
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of driver management experience.
  • 3-5 years of heavy-equipment delivery operation experience.
  • Working knowledge of DOT rules and regulations.
  • Effective verbal and written communication practices.
  • Masterful problem-solving skills.
