Company Driver Supervisor Role

RJ Schinner Co., Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Company Driver Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our logistics department, you will be responsible for managing CDL drivers, overseeing routes, and ensuring compliance with DOT FMCSA regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct driver training and road tests to ensure new employees meet company standards.
  • Manage driver performance, partnering with management and HR to provide coaching, corrective action, and training.
  • Act as a liaison between drivers and transportation coordinators to resolve route-related issues.
  • Collaborate with transportation to ensure route coverage, including temporary drivers, carriers, breakdowns, and direct coverage.
  • Oversee the planned and unplanned maintenance of driving equipment to ensure compliance with FMCSA and company standards.
  • Perform monthly pre-trip inspection audits to ensure all equipment meets regulatory requirements.
  • Partner with Safety to coordinate driver onboarding, drug testing, and Driver Qualification documents.
  • Support management in correcting driver Hours of Service (HOS) issues in GEOTAB.
  • Collect, complete, and submit all accident and injury paperwork, ensuring established processes were followed.
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of driver management experience.
  • 3-5 years of heavy-equipment delivery operation experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience working with DOT rules and regulations.
  • Working knowledge of hazards and safety precautions common to Class A CDL drivers and equipment.
  • Previous experience operating truck/trailers over-the-road (long or short haul).
  • Effective verbal and written communication practices.
  • Masterful problem-solving skills.
