About This Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Assistant to join our team at CareATC. As a Clinical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support in our Health Center setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet patients and provide general administrative support using our company-assigned electronic medical record.
  • Measure and record vital signs, collect blood and urine samples as needed, and maintain a clean and disinfected environment between patients.
  • Perform clerical duties, including registration, answering phones, scheduling, and referral management.
  • Exhibit good clinical judgment within the scope of your Limited Licensed X-ray role, with or without direct supervision.
  • Follow all clinical, Limited Licensed X-ray scope, and clerical protocols per company policy and state guidelines.
  • Prepare patients for radiologic procedures, protect patients, yourself, and other staff from radiation hazards, and take X-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety.
  • Position patients and take X-rays of specific body parts as requested by the provider, ensuring clear images and retaking as necessary.
  • Send images to the appropriate provider for review and maintain and document required records in our EMR system.
  • Perform quantity and quality control checks to ensure our X-ray unit meets standards required by rules and state regulations, and departmental policies.
  • Comply with safety standards, including using a dosimetry badge while performing X-rays, and clean, maintain, and make minor adjustments to radiographic equipment.
  • Order radiographic supplies as necessary and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) plus one of the following: completion of a Limited License X-ray course from an accredited program and holds a license/certification for that State.
  • Must have Limited License Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (AART) Limited Scope of Practice in Radiography examination in the State in which you practice.
  • Minimum one year of recent experience in a medical setting is strongly preferred.
  • Must possess a current BLS, CPR certification, and current health records with the appropriate documentation for immunizations to work in the healthcare field.
