Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately register and pre-register patients, including a professional patient interview, insurance verification, and computer coding.
  • Ensure that all necessary paperwork is completed and documented.
  • Oversee and prioritize bed placement needs to ensure prompt and appropriate placement of patients.
  • Work closely with the Clinical Support Services team to ensure seamless patient flow.
Requirements
  • High school degree or equivalent required.
  • One to two years of acute care experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and ICD-9 coding preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
  • Ability to work under considerable stress and use tact and diplomacy.
