Job Summary:

The Project Engineer will assist the Project Manager in planning, developing, coordinating, and managing onsite construction engineering activities for large, extensive projects. This role requires a strong understanding of construction engineering principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the development and monitoring of project budgets, ensuring accurate and timely tracking of costs and expenses.

• Collect and code project cost documents, and continually monitor and update the budget to reflect changes in work.

• Monitor project schedules and review work schedules for improving work methods, ensuring timely completion of projects.

• Oversee the timely submittal and completion of documentation required by the owner and agencies, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

• Prepare subcontractor and supplier agreements, and prepare correspondence to document changes in work or costs.

• Work with foreman and superintendents to monitor all activities, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment for crew, subcontractors, and the public.

• Promote good public relations with owners, subcontractors, and the public, maintaining a positive and professional image for J.R. Filanc Construction Company, Inc.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction-related field, or equivalent combination of technical training and/or experience.

• 1-5 years' experience in construction, with a preference for water/wastewater experience.

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and the use of the internet.

• Advanced AutoCAD, AutoCAD MEP, and Revit software skills required.

• Excellent communication and analytical skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and work independently.

• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to assess and quickly solve problems.

• Ability to travel, with flexibility to work flexible hours and locations throughout the LA Region and other cities.

Working Conditions:
