Job Overview

The Housekeeping Lead is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of assigned areas to meet customer and client satisfaction. This role may involve oversight or delegation of responsibilities within the housekeeping operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Schedule and assign daily work tasks to a custodial team, ensuring efficient use of resources and meeting quality standards.

  • Oversee the completion of tasks assigned to the custodial team, ensuring satisfactory quality of work and addressing any performance deficiencies.

  • Collaborate with department leadership to address performance issues and implement corrective actions.

  • Participate in training and re-training of employees, as needed, to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.

  • Clean and maintain assigned areas to meet Aramark and client standards and requirements, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for employees and customers.

  • Maintain a clean, tidy, and clutter-free work environment to mitigate safety hazards and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Thoroughly clean and maintain housekeeping equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition and meets quality standards.

  • Follow established procedures for storage and disposal of trash, and transport it to designated areas, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Report maintenance concerns via work order requests to the appropriate personnel, ensuring prompt attention to any issues that may impact the cleanliness and maintenance of assigned areas.

  • Adhere to established procedures to provide a safe working environment, including complying with accredited agencies and Aramark regulations.

  • Ensure the security of company assets and facility, ensuring doors and equipment storage areas are locked/unlocked, as required.

Requirements

  • Previous supervisory experience is preferred, with a proven track record of leading teams and achieving results.

  • Previous custodial experience, with a strong understanding of cleaning and maintenance procedures.

  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision, with a strong sense of initiative and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to follow basic safety procedures, with a strong commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
