About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and bilingual customer service specialist to join our team at Bend Park and Recreation District. As a customer service specialist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our patrons, responding to inquiries, and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service to patrons, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Operate a multi-line telephone system, answering calls and providing information to patrons.
  • Process transactions, including cash handling and data entry.
  • Assist with program enrollment, including in-person and online registration.
  • Identify and report safety concerns to management.
  • Perform various clerical duties, including data entry, word processing, and filing.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including the lobby and surrounding areas.
Requirements
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English.
  • One year of customer service experience, including cashiering and computerized processing.
  • Strong knowledge of customer service standards, cashier and money handling procedures, and general office practices.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, tactfully, and pleasantly with the public and all contacts.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Working Conditions

The customer service specialist will work in a public reception environment, with frequent interruptions and distractions. The position requires the ability to remain in a stationary position for extended periods, move about the office occasionally, and perform various physical tasks, including lifting, carrying, and pushing up to 15 pounds.
