Position Overview We are currently in search of a qualified and dynamic individual for the role of Chief Financial Officer. This position presents an excellent opportunity for a finance expert with a solid background to become part of our organization. The successful candidate will be accountable for overseeing, managing, and coordinating all elements of our financial and accounting operations. This encompasses direct oversight of accounting, finance, forecasting, strategic planning, and asset depreciation. Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct and manage all facets of the Finance & Accounting operations of the organization.
  • Assess and provide insights on the implications of long-term planning, new program introductions, and regulatory actions.
  • Advise executive management on the financial consequences of business activities.
  • Manage processes for financial forecasting, budgeting, and reporting to the organization.
  • Ensure effective internal controls are established and compliance with GAAP and relevant federal, state, and local regulations for financial and tax reporting.
  • Develop and lead a team of finance and accounting professionals capable of scaling with the organization's growth objectives.
  • Oversee the organization's transaction processing systems and implement operational best practices.
  • Supervise employee benefit plans, focusing on maximizing a cost-effective benefits package.
  • Manage the acquisition of capital assets, ensuring proper recording, amortization, and disposal as necessary.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a senior finance position, with a strong preference for experience in the finance sector.
  • Proven track record in financial management, strategic planning, and asset depreciation.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate and manage effectively at all organizational levels and with remote staff.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and creative thinking, with sound judgment and decision-making based on accurate analyses.
  • High integrity and reliability, with a strong sense of urgency and results-oriented mindset.
  • Proficient in financial management software and applications.
  • Knowledgeable in federal and state financial regulations, as well as GAAP.
  • Exceptional negotiation skills and experience managing relationships with investors and partners.
  • Strong leadership capabilities with a commitment to driving and achieving results.
