Position Overview

The Practice Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing the comprehensive administrative, financial, and operational functions of a healthcare facility. This position is essential for ensuring a seamless patient experience from entry to exit, fostering a welcoming and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

Site Oversight

• Manage scheduling, operational coverage, and payroll submissions for all site personnel, with assistance from the Assistant Site Manager as necessary.

• Maintain real-time awareness of patient visits, registration delays, and necessary follow-up actions post-discharge.

• Supervise patient flow and oversee daily front and back-office operations.

• Collaborate with Human Resources to develop staff training plans and address employee relations matters, including performance evaluations and improvement suggestions.

• Responsible for opening and closing the facility.

• Provide support for clinical tasks as required, such as processing laboratory results and assisting with patient rooming.

Team Leadership

• Lead, mentor, and assess the performance of all non-provider staff, ensuring adherence to established performance standards.

• Implement and uphold the organizational culture, taking corrective actions when necessary.

• Conduct formal performance reviews and facilitate departmental meetings and training sessions.

Business and Patient Relations

• Engage with patients to address any concerns regarding their care.

• Uphold patient confidentiality in compliance with policies and HIPAA regulations.

• Manage the site’s budget, ensuring expenditures align with financial guidelines.

• Conduct daily inspections of the facility for cleanliness and necessary repairs.

• Collaborate with corporate departments for operational support and issue escalation.

• Analyze and report on key business metrics, including wait times and patient satisfaction scores.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of management experience is required.

• A Bachelor’s degree in management, business, or a related field is preferred, though relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

• Strong multitasking abilities and proficiency in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Office.

• Excellent communication skills and comfort with constructive feedback.

• Bilingual skills are preferred based on site requirements.

Additional Information

This role involves long shifts, including weekends and varying schedules, and requires on-site presence.

Physical Demands

The position may require regular lifting of heavy objects, performing repetitive tasks, and engaging in light cleaning activities. Frequent computer use is also necessary.
