We are a leading distributor of goods, seeking a skilled Administrative Support Specialist to join our team. As an Invoicer & Administrative Assistant, you will work closely with the Accounting department to create and maintain accurate invoices, financial records, and ensure compliance with all legal requirements.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and has a basic understanding of best practices in accounting. This role requires strong mathematical and analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to prioritize projects.
Responsibilities
- Enter invoices, financial data, and transactions in QuickBooks accurately.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Maintain records, either physical or electronic, of business transactions.
- Prepare and contribute to company reports via QuickBooks & Excel.
- Create accurate spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel.
- Process incoming paperwork, make photocopies, and file paperwork.
- Assist the Accounting department with various office and administrative tasks.
- Maintain an organized filing system.
- Distribute mail to the appropriate departments.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as an invoicer, bookkeeper, or similar position.
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Understanding of basic bookkeeping principles.
- Skilled in usage of Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks, Google Sheets, and basic accounting systems.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly organized with excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize projects.
Salary
$55,000 - $65,000 per year.
