Job Summary

The Clinical Dietitian is a key member of the healthcare team, responsible for providing high-quality nutrition care to patients in various settings. This role involves overseeing oral, enteral, and parenteral nutrition support, as well as screening, assessing, educating, monitoring, and evaluating patients according to established practice guidelines and Nutrition Services policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized nutrition care plans
  • Conduct thorough nutrition assessments and screenings to identify patients at risk for malnutrition
  • Develop and implement nutrition interventions to promote optimal nutrition and minimize health risks
  • Monitor and evaluate patient progress, making adjustments to care plans as needed
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and evidence-based practices in clinical dietetics
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in nutrition or a related field
  • Registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and licensure to practice dietetics in South Carolina
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
