Position Overview

atsec is seeking skilled cryptography specialists to enhance our team as product-focused information security analysts. These roles may vary from entry-level to senior or principal, contingent on your relevant experience and expertise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Acquire and apply knowledge of security principles and methodologies, including entropy, access control, authentication, auditing, and side-channel analysis.
  • Achieve proficiency in security standards such as FIPS 140 and Common Criteria.
  • Develop expertise in technical areas including cryptography, network security protocols, hardware security, software development, database management, mobile technology, virtualization, and operating systems.
  • Utilize your skills to evaluate the security architecture, implementation, and deployment of various advanced IT products.
  • Assist atsec clients in security-related matters and strive to become a recognized authority in your domain.

Required Qualifications

Candidates with a robust understanding of cryptography and its application in safeguarding data will be favored in our selection process.

  • A degree in Mathematics or Electrical Engineering with a focus on Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • Familiarity with cryptographic algorithms and the underlying mathematical principles.
  • Proficient programming and code analysis capabilities.
  • Experience with Unix-based command line environments (e.g., Linux).
  • Understanding of network protocols (e.g., TLS/SSL, SSH, IPsec, IKE, SRTP, SNMP).
  • Knowledge of information security concepts (e.g., authentication, access control, network security).
  • Strong skills in technical report writing.
  • A collaborative team player with the ability to work independently.
  • A willingness to explore complex technical topics.
  • Positive demeanor, excellent customer interaction skills, strong communication abilities (both written and verbal), and effective teamwork and technical collaboration skills.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.

Preferred Skills

  • Hands-on experience with Common Criteria evaluations.
  • Experience conducting FIPS 140-x testing.
  • Background in designing or implementing standards-compliant security features.
