Job Title: Community Manager

Shea Properties is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Community Manager to join our team. As a Community Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our apartment community, ensuring that revenue and profit targets are met, outstanding service levels are provided, and asset value is protected and enhanced.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the successful operation of the property, including maximizing revenue and profit targets.
  • Lead, guide, and motivate property staff to ensure excellent customer service and high-quality results.
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance asset value.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and local and federal laws and regulations.
  • Develop and implement marketing plans to promote the property and attract new residents.
  • Manage the leasing process, including reviewing applications, conducting tours, and negotiating leases.
  • Supervise and train property staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to provide excellent customer service.
  • Conduct regular property walk-ins to ensure the property is well-maintained and meets company standards.
  • Prepare and manage budgets, including capital and operating expenses.
  • Develop and implement resident retention programs to increase resident satisfaction and reduce turnover.
  • Manage resident complaints and resolve issues in a fair and timely manner.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial and operational data.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of property management experience, with a proven track record of success.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Strong financial acumen, with the ability to analyze and interpret financial data.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products and Yardi/YieldStar software.
  • Two or four-year college degree preferred, with a focus on business, real estate, or a related field.
